Who We Are
ScheduleAlerts is operated by SBE Consulting, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We provide an AI-powered conversational SMS reminder assistant that helps people keep track of events and schedules across many categories, including sports, school, workouts, family events, birthdays, anniversaries, chores, and work commitments. You can reach us at [email protected]. ScheduleAlerts is not intended for health, medical, dental, mental health, or medication reminders.
Information We Collect
We collect and store the following information so we can provide the service:
Phone number. You give us your phone number when you sign up on schedule-alerts.com or by texting our number. We use it to identify you and to deliver SMS messages.
Consent record. When you sign up, we record the fact that you consented to receive SMS messages, along with the time of consent and the text of the consent language you agreed to. We retain this for compliance with federal and state telecommunications rules.
Messages and attachments you send us. Every SMS you send to ScheduleAlerts is stored in our database so our AI assistant has the context of your ongoing conversation. If you send us a URL, we fetch and read the page content so we can understand what you want reminders about. If you send us an image (such as a screenshot of a schedule), we store the image and its extracted contents for the same purpose.
Reminders you create. We store the exact reminder text, the date and time you want each reminder delivered, and any label you give it (for example, "soccer" or "piano lessons").
Preferences. We store your timezone and your weekly recap settings (the day and hour you want the Sunday recap, or whether you have turned it off).
Linked minor information. If you authorize a minor child aged 13 to 17 to use ScheduleAlerts under your account, we store the display name you gave us for that child (for example, "Jamie"), the child's phone number once they activate the link, and the same categories of information we would store for any other user. See the Children and Linked Minor Accounts section below.
Technical information. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) logs basic request information such as IP address and user agent for security and rate-limiting purposes. These logs are retained by Cloudflare according to their policies and are not combined with your account data for marketing purposes.
We do not collect your legal name, email address, home address, date of birth, payment information, precise location, browsing history, or biometric information.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only to provide and operate ScheduleAlerts, specifically: to understand your messages and respond conversationally; to fetch and read URLs or images you send us so we can set up the reminders you ask for; to deliver the SMS reminders you created at the times you chose; to send the weekly Sunday recap; to maintain the ongoing context of our conversation with you; to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse; and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your information for marketing or advertising. We do not use it to train any AI model.
AI Processing
ScheduleAlerts uses an AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude) to understand your messages, read links and screenshots you share, and generate replies and reminder content. When you send us a message, its content (including any images you attach and any web pages we fetch on your behalf) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing so we can serve your request. Anthropic contractually does not use API inputs from ScheduleAlerts to train its models. For details, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Usage Policy.
Service Providers
We use the following service providers to operate ScheduleAlerts. Each is contractually required to handle your data only for the purposes we specify, and each has its own privacy practices that you can review:
Twilio, Inc. Delivers the SMS messages we send you and receives the SMS messages you send us. Your phone number and the content of each message are shared with Twilio for delivery. Twilio Privacy.
Anthropic PBC. Processes the text of your messages, any URLs you share, and any screenshots you send, using the Claude AI model, so we can understand your request and respond. Anthropic does not train on your messages. Anthropic Privacy.
Cloudflare, Inc. Hosts our website, runs our serverless functions, and stores your account, conversation history, reminders, and preferences in its D1 database. Cloudflare also provides DDoS protection and traffic logging for security purposes. Cloudflare Privacy.
Information Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws. We do not rent or trade your personal information. We share personal information only with the service providers listed above, only for the purposes described, and only to the extent necessary to operate ScheduleAlerts. We may also disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ScheduleAlerts, our users, or others.
Children and Linked Minor Accounts
ScheduleAlerts is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up for ScheduleAlerts, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the account.
A parent or legal guardian with an adult primary account may authorize a minor aged 13 to 17 to use ScheduleAlerts under the Linked Minor Accounts program described in our Terms of Service. When a parent creates a linked minor account, the parent consents on the minor's behalf to these privacy practices. The parent can view the minor's current reminders at any time by asking ScheduleAlerts from the parent's own phone. The parent cannot read the back-and-forth conversation messages the minor exchanges with ScheduleAlerts. The parent can remove the linked minor at any time, which cancels the minor's pending reminders and marks the minor's number as opted out.
Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with our legal obligations. Specifically:
Subscriber account and phone number: retained while your account is active. When you opt out by replying STOP, we remove your account and associated personal information from our active systems within 30 days.
Conversation messages: retained for up to 12 months for active users, then purged automatically. When you opt out, your conversation history is deleted within 30 days along with the rest of your account.
Reminders: pending reminders are retained until they are delivered or cancelled. Delivered and cancelled reminders are retained for 30 days after the event for troubleshooting, then purged.
Consent records: because federal telecommunications rules require us to keep proof of consent, we retain consent records (phone number, consent text, timestamp, IP address, and user agent) for up to 4 years, even after you opt out. These records are kept only for compliance and are not used for any other purpose.
Aggregate, de-identified statistics: we may retain aggregate usage statistics (such as total number of messages processed in a given month) that cannot be used to identify you.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
Right to access. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Right to correct. You can ask us to correct any personal information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. We will honor the request unless we are required to keep the information for legal compliance (for example, consent records required by telecommunications rules).
Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You do not need to opt out because we never opted you in.
Right to appeal. If we deny a rights request, you may appeal the decision by replying to our denial message or emailing us again within 30 days.
How to exercise these rights. Send an email to [email protected] from an email address you control, or text the word HELP to our ScheduleAlerts number, and let us know which right you want to exercise and the phone number associated with your account. We will respond within 45 days. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, which may include asking you to confirm account details from the phone number on file.
Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we confirm that in the preceding 12 months we have not sold or shared your personal information, and we have no plans to do so.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS for all web traffic and TLS for all API calls to Twilio and Anthropic), encrypted storage at our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare D1), httpOnly session cookies for admin access, request signature verification on inbound SMS, rate limits and cost ceilings to prevent abuse, and access controls restricting who can view subscriber data. No method of electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with industry practice.
International Users
ScheduleAlerts is intended for residents of the United States only. Our service, infrastructure, and business operations are designed to comply with US laws and regulations, and we do not currently offer the service to users in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not sign up for or use ScheduleAlerts.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers via SMS before the changes take effect, and your continued use of ScheduleAlerts after the notice will constitute acceptance of the updated policy.
